Just too busy

Everyone else already knows this; I’ve just finally and begrudgingly joined the informed!

Someone once said to me, “we make time for what’s important to us”.

I have learned, the hard way even sometimes, that people really do make time for what they want to make time for, for what is most important or a priority…to them. But this is not new information; there are signs everywhere and everyone talks about it! It’s on every Social Media page….”there’s no one busier than the person who does not want to talk to you”….”if they miss you they’ll call”….”when someone shows you who they are, believe them”….etc. But somehow we don’t really pay attention. Actually, I’m even betting each of us is guilty of being on the giving end as well, maybe not admittedly, or even purposefully. How many times have you been asked to visit or call someone, but found yourself much too busy to do so? Only to find that your “busy” time was ultimately filled with an empty and unnecessary shopping trip, or with watching your favorite show, or going visiting after all, but with someone you found far more interesting??

Yep, we’ve all done it…arguably.

With all of that being said, I certainly reserve the right to be wrong!

Note, the fact that one is too busy is not always a completely negative thing. I personally keep very busy and have very little down time. So my down time is filled with a much-needed moment of introspection, some me-time; just some time to be my old introverted self; some time to re-charge for the outside world. But even I likely make exceptions if Iā€™m so inclined.

So the fact still remains, we make time for what we find most important to us. What say you?

The moral of the story? There isn’t one really, just my side view. But if someone says they’re too busy, remember this and let it be….they’re “too busy”. Food for thought. šŸ™‚

Make it a great day!
